8.Our mathematics and medical researchers are using mathematical modelling to gain better understanding into cancer development and treatment.
9.Researchers in the Centre for Environmental Change and Human Resilience (CECHR) working on a number of projects including assessing climate change and impacts on the quality and quantity of water, and considering models of decentralised electricity supplies.

In addition to the internships, international students have access to various free seminars, which give help and advice on aspects such as CV building, aptitude tests and cultural aspects of working in Scotland. The Careers Service also runs the UK's first Internship Graduate Certificate which allows graduates greater access to industry after the end of their studies with a six-month placement with a high-profile employer in Scotland.

Newer research and teaching links are being developed in South America, Central Asia, China and India and many other countries including the Kuwait Scotland Health Innovation Network - a multi-million pound partnership with the Dasman Diabetes Institute and Ministry of Health in Kuwait.

The University is attracting an increasing number of students into Dundee through its 3+1+1 and 1+1 partnership models. The University also encourages students to take part in exchange schemes. Dundee has Erasmus agreements with 80 institutions in 21 European countries. A transatlantic student exchange (TSE) programme offers students the opportunity to spend a year in North America, while Australasia Student Exchange programme supports exchanges with institutions in Australia, Hong Kong and New Zealand.
The University has representative offices in Beijing, supporting its links with China; and in Delhi, supporting links with India.
